Davenport finished the regular season with a 23-10-0-3 overall record and a 16-7-0-1 record in the GLCHL. The Panthers are 7-11 against National Tournament teams this season (No. 3 Robert Morris, No. 4 Liberty, No. 6 Adrian, No. 8 Delaware, No. 14 Oakland and No. 17 Lindenwood). DU finished second place in the GLCHL during the regular season 14 points behind Adrian for first place in the conference. The Panthers scored a total of 148 goals this season, while allowing only 91. DU has had a strong power play this season scoring 42 power play goals.
Davenport History in the National Tournament
The Panthers are in their fourth season in ACHA Division 1 and they have reached the National Tournament every season they have been a part of Division 1. DU has 5-2 record in the ACHA Division 1 National Tournament, including going 4-0 in 2011 to win the National Championship over No. 1 seed Lindenwood. Last season Davenport went into the tournament as the eighth seed and played No. 9 Lindenwood in the opening round, where DU fell 5-2 to the Lions. Before moving up to Division 1, the Panthers won three straight National Championships at the Division 2 level (2010, 2009, 2008). Davenport compiled a 24-6 record at the Division 2 National Tournament.
