GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport fell to Oakland 5-4 in the fourth game of the “Good Luck DUck” series. Davenport jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the first period but three unanswered goals by the Grizzlies put the Panthers behind heading into the third period. Davenport tied the game early in the third but an Oakland goal in the middle of the period sealed the win for the Grizzlies. Davenport will be in action again on Thursday night when they travel to Adrian to start a three conference game weekend.

ALMA, Mich. - The No. 26 ranked Lady Panthers tennis team came away with an impressive 8-1 win at Alma College today to open the spring season.  DU will be in action next Sunday at Albion College before they head to Florida for their annual spring break trip.

ALMA, Mich. - Davenport swept the doubles play and posted a 4-2 advantage in the singles as they opened up their spring season with a 7-2 win at Alma College.  The Panthers host Lake Superior State next Saturday in their only home match until the middle of March.

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - With a game high 11 field goals today, James Nelson is now the all-time leader at Davenport University as he led the No. 3 ranked Panthers to an 82-63 win over visiting Lourdes.  Davenport, now 23-3 on the season and 13-1 in league play, will travel to Madonna on Wednesday at 7:30pm.

ANGOLA, Ind. – The Davenport track and field teams competed at the Trine Invitational yesterday and the DU athletes posted 23 season best performances, 11 personal bests and 8 top 5 all-time performances. This was their sixth event of the 2011-12 indoor season and have only one more meet before the WHAC Indoor Championships on February 18th.
