GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Women's At-Large Team has been released to recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. First-team Academic All-District honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America Team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.
The District 1 College Division is comprised of 23 states and honors members of NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools. Davenport had three of the 10 selections in the district and was the only WHAC school that had a recipient.
Senior
Puck Luttikhuis of the women's tennis team was named First Team All-WHAC in singles and doubles this season and also was named WHAC All-Academic. She is all-time leader in singles wins at Davenport (91) and has the best win percentage (.805, 91-22) as well. She also ranks third all-time with 72 doubles wins and has won 64.3 percent of those matches in her career.
Senior
Jessica Lemcke of the women's lacrosse team was named NAIA First Team All-American and was a NAIA Scholar-Athlete this season. She was also named First Team All-WHAC and WHAC All-Academic. Lemcke is the all-time goal scorer at Davenport (267) and appeared in 76 career games. She is second all-time in draw controls (178) and third in points (298).
Junior
Kylee Nemetz of the women's golf team holds the all-time 36-hole scoring mark in program history set in 2016. She finished 19th in the WHAC Championship and helped her team set a new 18-hole record with a 299 in the final round. Nemetz currently has the third-lowest scoring average (84.07) in DU history and has played 69.5 rounds in her career. She was second on the team this year with a 83.05 scoring average and had five top-10 finishes.
