LIVONIA, Mich. – Davenport took care of business this Saturday afternoon and won at least a share of the regular season WHAC championship. This is the fourth straight season that the team has won the WHAC championship and continue their tradition of excellence. The Panthers defeated the Crusaders 20-2 today out in Livonia, Mich. They finish the regular season with an overall record of 14-2 and will play next in the NAIA Invitational in Greenville, South Carolina.

HOW IT HAPPENED
At the start of this game the Crusaders came out with some motivation to win their first game of the year, Davenport quickly squashed those thoughts. The Panthers scored 13 un-answered goals after the initial goal by Madonna in the first period.
Tara Pluger started the frenzy off with a goal from the right wing and
Taylor Ries capped off the run with a goal from in the circle. At the half Davenport had a 13-1 lead.
In the second half Madonna couldn't muster enough offense to make a comeback as the Davenport's defensive was an impenetrable wall. The Crusaders were only able to score one goal in the second period compared to seven by Davenport. Six different Panthers scored during the second period, including defender
Ryann Deuel.
