ROME, Ga. -
Corbin Clouse has been on a whirlwind trip since being drafted by the Atlanta Braves in June. He has been a rising star within the organization and currently has been a force with his current team the Rome Braves. Clouse landed in Danville, the Braves rookie affiliate after a week of evaulation after the draft and posted a 2-0 record in 6.2 innings. He did not allow a hit while striking out 16. Those numbers prompted the organization to promote Clouse on July 9 to Rome, a member of the South Atlantic League (Class A). Since the promotion, Clouse has gone 3-0 in 15 innings allowing just two runs on seven hits with 23 strikeouts. He has a 1.20 earned run average and 0.87 WHIP.
"Everything is happening so fast as I went from being unsure if I would get drafted to heading to Danville and now up to Rome," said Clouse. "I love being in the Braves organization and I'm just going out there and trying to do my best."
