Box Score GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Davenport's sixth-ranked baseball team continues to stay hot offensively as the Panthers tallied 17 hits in seven innings to take a 16-3 mercy-rule win over Lourdes on a frigid and heavy wind Sunday afternoon in Grand Rapids.

The final game between the Panthers (25-2, 11-0 WHAC) and Gray Wolves (25-2, 11-0 WHAC) has been called off due to inclement weather. Davenport sweeps Lourdes in the three-game league series and will take its 16-game win streak away from the Farmers Insurance Athletic Complex for the first time in more than a month as the Panthers prepare for a doubleheader with Purdue North Central Wednesday at 2 p.m. EDT.

Zac Wilson went a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate with two runs and RBI each to lead the Panthers.
Jordan Zylstra and
Zack Sardellitti both added three hits including a triple while
Matt Priebe took advantage of the wind blowing to left field for a two-run home run in the second.

Corey Murphy (4-1) struck out eight in his five shutout innings on the mound. He conceded only three hits and didn't issue any free passes.

Davenport scored all 16 runs within the first five innings, scoring four each in the first and second, two in both the third and fourth, followed by four more in the fifth.

The Panthers wrap up the 16-game homestand outhitting their opponents 177-109 along with outscoring them in runs 133-33.
