Final Results

KENDALVILLE, Ind. - Kale Waaso and Cam Thomas each finished with two-day totals of 148 but the Panthers fell to a 5th place finish at the USF Cougar Invite on Tuesday.  Davenport posted a 308 in the second round for a 36-hole total of 610.

After starting the year with a 302 on Monday, DU returned to the course today and struggled to a 308 team score for a 5th place finish overall in the 12 team tournament.  Cornerstone University won the overall championship at 596 which was 14 shots better than the Panthers and four ahead of St. Francis and Holy Cross.

Kale Waaso continued his solid start to his final season as the senior fired a 73 on the second day to come in a tie for 6th place individually at 148.  Cam Thomas, who was playing as an individual, also finished at 148 with a second round 75 combined with his opening round 73.

Other DU finishers were Jordan Phillips at 149, Kevin Palmer at 153, Edwin Napieralski at 160.

Davenport will next be in action when they host the first conference jamboree on September 9 at Stonewater CC.  The Panthers will be looking to claim their 4th WHAC championship in the last five years.
