SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Kevin O'Brien was solid in net as he helped the Panthers even their season record today with an impressive 2-0 win on the road at Sioux Falls.  Davenport is now 2-2-0 as they come home to face Mt. Vernon Nazarene in their home opener on Saturday at 2:00 PM.

After falling in their first two games, the Panthers picked up a big road win at Trinity International on Tuesday and made it two in a row tonight with a 2-0 blanking of USF.

Alex Boehm (Stevensville, Mich) picked up his second goal in as many games as the returning 1st Team All-WHAC performer put the Panthers up 1-0 in the 24th minute on a pass from Ryan Duffy-McGirr (Chesterfield, England).

After coming out of halftime with the same score of 1-0, Davenport increased the margin to two goals when Jesse Asanin-Miroux (Thornhill, Ontario) scored the first goals of his career.  John Girasoli (Glasgow, Scotland) was credited with the assist as it was the first point posted for the freshman.

The defense then held tough in front of keeper Kevin O'Brien (Cork, Ireland) as the sophomore posted his first shutout of the year and second of his career.

Davenport is now 2-2-0 on the year and will finally play a home game on Saturday when they host Mt. Vernon Nazarene (Ohio) at 2:00 PM.  The game will be the first of the year broadcast live on the DAN and you will also be able to follow along with live stats and live chat.
