Mid-March - 2010 - Announcement of NAIA D2 Basketball Brackets

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the 32-team bracket for the Men's and Women's Basketball National Championships, held March 10 - 16 in Sioux City, Iowa and Point Lookout, MO.
The Lady Panthers, ranked #2 in the NAIA entering the National Tournament and making their 6th straight tourney appearance, have one of four overall #1 seeds in the 32-team bracket as they drew the Appalachian Athletic Conference Champion Tennessee Wesleyan (17-15).
Davenport will play on Thursday afternoon at 6:15 PM EST (5:15 CT) and the other two teams in their section of the bracket are Cardinal Stritch (WI) and College of Idaho.
The men's team, who enters ranked #19 in the latest NAIA D2 Poll and is making their first appearance, will play Cascade Collegiate Conference member Eastern Oregon who earned one of the 11 at-large bids like the Panthers. Eastern Oregon is the #14 overall seed in the tournament.
Davenport will play on Thursday afternoon at 5:00 PM EST (4:00 CT) and the other two teams in their section of the bracket are Indiana Wesleyan and Virginia-Wise.
