GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The 2009 WHAC Women's Golf Season came to a close this past week at Madonna University's Walnut Creek CC. Headlining the All-WHAC teams was conference medalist Caitlin Duval, who claimed the individual title for the 2nd straight year. Madonna University finished second at the final Jamboree of the year and won the school's first Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Golf championship with total stroke tally of 2,481. Davenport's Caitlin Duval (Grandville, Mich.) claimed the WHAC Individual Medalist spot after a win in a three-hole playoff with Indiana Tech's Megan Garrison, which sends the senior to her second straight appearance at the NAIA National Championships. Other Panthers' who received honors were Korinne Diss (Traverse City, Mich.) who was named the Champions of Character Award winner for the school and Nicole Labonte (Windsor, Ontario) who joined Duval on the Academic All-WHAC team.
